While fighting the installation of code to the Radioshack version of the Makeblock Ultimate Robot Kit I discovered that the newest version of Arduino software (1.6.1) doesn’t really like to play with the Orion board and have since removed it and installed an older version which seems to be working. What version works best with the kits and which company has the best support Arduino.cc or Arduino.org now that they have split? With Gianluca Martino forming a new company at Arduino.org it is getting confusing. Because I am building a computer just for the Makeblock system right now I plan on installing 1.0.6, but if there is one that works better I would like to know. I am also building a test platform with one of my kits to make it easier to try out different code and using a variable power supply that is rated for 2 amps to keep from having to change or charge batteries all the time. This should give me enough voltage and amperage to run all the motors and sensors at the same time. Thoughts?
