Tutorial on uploading from mBlock coder?

#1

Hello!

I am unable to find a good tutorial on uploading the code from the mBlock program into my Ultimate Robot Kit (bluetooth).

I have successfully been able to upgrade my firmware via the mBlock program, so the robot does connect to the program.

It’s largely an understanding / learning curve on my end, I have worked with some Python coding before but never uploading code to ardruino type projects.

For example, I’m able to drag and drop the visual coding and I see how to click “upload to adruino” as shown in your video, but then what? Do I load the application? I can’t seem to figure that part out.

Please understand this is seperate from my other post where I’m asking about my ultrasonic sensor malfunctioning, at least in my mind.

I greatly appreciate the time and effort your team puts into translating instructions and providing information, this has been a lot of fun! There’s been more troubleshooting than I’d like but it’s a good learning experience, I’m trying to learn this so I can teach the kids

Thanks!

Nope. No help from Makerblock, I’m very disappointed.

Maybe it’s because they partnered with Radioshack who’s now filed for Chapter 11?

What I do know, in theory:

  • The robot is built around a Makerblock Orion board
  • You can code it in the arduino IDE if you download drivers

But the lack of documentation is just frustrating. This shouldn’t be billed as a way to learn coding and arduino type projects if they can’t back up the documentation.
