Rechargable NiMH batteries and MegaPi?

#1

Hi, has anyone successfully used MegaPi with 6 rechargeable NiMH-batteries?
When i try to use them (fully charged) with the “Robotic Arm Tank” from Ultimate 2.0 the Bluetooth module is acting very strange and I can’t connect correctly neither from phone nor computer.
If i switch to non-chargeable batteries everything works fine.

I haven’t actually measured the voltage, but if everything is alright they should give 1.2V -> 6x1.2 = 7.2V, right?
The MegaPi supports 6-12V according to spec. Does that mean that 6V is enough even with the 4 motors and Bluetooth module that the Arm Tank use or is it an easy way to calculate battery needs?

Ultimate 2.0 Bluetooth does not work properly without connected to a PC via USB

When I tested today the encoder motors didn’t work well and I measured the power of my non-chargeable batteries to 7.7V, so even if the bluetooth did work there would have been no working robot with 1.2V-batteries. Strange though that the bluetoth didn’t work, it should work on 5V or?

Nevermind, now we know you can’t use 6 rechargeable NiMH-batteries.
