For a year I have been trying to connect my Raspberry pi to the Makeblock megapi controller. The basic program did not work. It asked if I wanted to terminate the program. The hardware worked fine. It did not work with python 3 IDE (3.5.3)that came with the Stretch version. I got it to work with the Thonny python IDE. It also uses the python 3.5.3. version.
