mBlock, ultimate robot kit and motors

I have assembled the ultimate robot with the gripper arm. I can get the LED Strip to work with mBlock 3.2 but cannot get any motor to respond to anything I put in mBlock. I am wondering if I have assembled the connector wires correctly. I have connected the wires as shown in the instruction booklet that came with the kit. But no matter what I do I can not get the motors to respond.

Could someone please give me an mBlock example on how I can get the gripper motor to work, then maybe I could extrapolate this to the other motors. Also, if someone could confirm how the connecting wires are connected to the orange motor plug.

Please disregard. But in case anyone is curious, the motors simply didn’t work because I was relying on USB power only. Once I put batteries in and turned the power on as well as connected the USB I was able to control the motors as well via mBlock.
