Makeblock Ulitmate 2 extra ports

Hi, I know it has been asked many times, but is there a way to have extra ports on the Ultimate 2 to connect more sensors? 4 ports is a little low for an ‘ultimate’ robot.
I would like to connect 3 ultrasonic sensors, one line follower, one gyro sensor and one led matrix panel. 6 ports in total. This would create a complete robot capable of many things.
Is it possible to connect a me orion or me auriga board to the megapi board?
Can I connect thet orion board to the encoder motors of the ultimate robot to the orion or auriga board?

What are the best options?

Also, why is there no option to use port 5 for the sensors an outputs in the block code for Ultimate 2?
I want to use the led matrix on port 5. I can only set this in the arduino code, it works just fine, but there is no way to choose port 5 in the scratch code? It is tedious to change this every time in the arduino code.

Does anyone know of a way to add port five to the blocks?

Yes, the RJ25 port 5 on the Ultimate’s MegaPi is for the most part hardly ever used. See below an extract from some notes I made regarding this when programming one of my test rig models using Arduino coding some time ago:

If I can find the time early in the new year, I’ll try to create an extension block that can read port 5 when block programming …
