XY-Plotter v1.0 to be used with Me-Stepper-Driver

We ordered and assembled CNC XY Plotter v1.0 but we are not satisfied with the use of 2H Microstep driver as we also need some mean to control the stepper motor individually. So my question is,

Is it possible to use Me-Stepper-Driver (from XY Plotter v2.0) as a stepper driver for v1.0? We want everything else intact and do not consider to spend a lot of money for this. We will only be considering of buying two Me-Stepper Drivers which we would think of using with the Base-Shield of the XY Plotter v1.00

Please confirm if this could work or is there anything we might need to change?

Hi @AsadMoeen, I think it could work when you use Me-Stepper-Driver on Baseshield.

You could get the Baseshield Port -> Pin information in Makeblock.cpp

Thank you for your response.

We would be connecting Me-Stepper-Driver to the older baseshield i.e. Me-baseshield, right? Please confirm as I’m about to order two of these shortly.

With the current 2H stepper driver we actually have 3 wires coming out and entering the baseshield but only 2 are for the motors so is the 3rd wire nulled or is it for internal power?

Yeah, the Me-Baseshield.
