Xy plotter laser visible but not marking paper

It was working, but I have had homing issues and getting the design to start in the right place. Now the laser is still on, but not burning paper? Have tried checking connection, raising laser power

I’ve had this myself a few times, and it usually turned out to be that I had jogged the lens focus on the laser and it was no longer sharp on the paper surface.
