XY Plotter 2.02 - Not Responding

#1

After uploading GCode Parser firmware, the beeper on the Orion board turns on and will not turn off until unplugged from the PC.

After running GRemote it looks like the commands are being sent and there is an “=> ok” coming back from the board whenever I try to move something with a button or key. When I send a command I can also see the receive light blink very quickly on the board. So it looks like its communicating with my PC but none of the commands actually produce any movement from either the servo motor or the two steppers.

I’ve also noticed that the one limit switch closest to the board turns off a light on the board (transmit?) but none of the others seem to do anything.

Ideas?

I’m running on Windows XP 32bit and everything seems to install correctly. I’ve got an older version of Java installed which seems to work (at least well enough to run GRemote.)

Nevermind - the settings for GRemote as per Part III of the v2.02 Software Manual were not put in by default (as the manual claims they would be) and needed to be set according to the image. Some explanation about what those settings do, would be nice.

Makeblock, your manuals suck. Plain and simple. I understand that a large part of that is due to translation errors - get a native speaker to refine your manuals layout and instructions. Instructions need to be linear, not jumbled.

Hi,@bignic
We suggest that you use mDraw software to control XY, it is simpler than Gremote.
