xTool D1 not connecting to MacBook Pro

#1

I just received my xTool D1 10W, however I cannot get it to connect to my laptop (MacBook Pro 2018, OS Monterey 12.1) via USB or WiFi.

USB
I’ve tried following the instructions at 4402417816087-Troubleshooting-Summary, however I’ve already downloaded the newest software available, both from the makeblock link (https://support.xtool.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500012740681-Laserbox-Software) as well as the link at laserbox.com (https://www.laserbox.com/software.html). I’ve also tried to use the HoRNDIS-9.2 (https://xtool.zendesk.com/hc/article_attachments/4417551117847/HoRNDIS-9.2_catalina__1_.pkg) and it doesn’t work, in fact it looks like it made it worse. Before the HoRNDIS it would at least look like it would attempt to connect via USB, however after the HoRNDIS it won’t even try and immediately fails. I tried with and without the firewall active. I have no anitvirus, other than what is native to the Mac, which I did disable, but that also hasn’t allowed it to connect.

Ethernet
The MacBookPro doesn’t have a native ethernet port, and the D1 also doesn’t have an ethernet port so this is clearly NOT an option.

WiFi
The laptop doesn’t “see” the D1 so that it can connect, and I cant find the information required to look for it specifically via Network name, security type, and password.

SD Card
I would try to update the firmware on the D1 via the sd card, however I cannot find the files that are supposed to be put on the D1 to support USB connection to a Mac.

Any help would be appreciated since I can’t find kind of info on this through Google searches.
