With what kind of infra red joystick can i control the MBOT

Hi People,

I want to use an IR joystick for the Mbot i use and i want to buy some more bots for the kids i work with so i can play a soccer game with them.
What IR joysticks can i use ? and how do i program them ?

I would guess that any remote that can send the NEC codes (link to thread in Makeblock forum) should work. From my experience though, all of the robots would receive the IR codes and react so IR might not be the best approach for what you are trying to do. :slight_smile:

I am, however, open to correction if anyone else has different experiences with this.

My suggestion would be to look for Bluetooth joysticks (link) as those will only pair with a single device.

@tec_support, are there any Bluetooth joysticks that will pair directly with the mBot or is Makeblock considering making any?

Hi chuckmcknight,

We do not have the Bluetooth joysticks for mBot and have no such plan now but cannot tell if consider make it in the future. We may make 2.4G joysticks in the future but this plan has not been finalized.
