Wireless Serial connected but can't upload programs to mBot

Just got an mBot with the 2.4 Wireless Serial module. It seems to connect just fine (the led on the module is solid blue), I’ve been able to upload the firmware through the USB cable, but I can’t get any programs to run on the mBot. Whenever I click “Upload to Arduino”, I get a message “Please connect the serial port”, and when I click the green flag, nothing happens.

I’m running mBlock 3.2.2 on Mac OS 10.11.4 (El Capitan). Any ideas about what’s happening, or how to diagnose the problem?

You can only upload programs to the mBot via the USB cable. The USB port is the only one with access to the avrdude programmer on the board. With WiFi or Bluetooth you are sending commands to the firmata on the board from a program running on the computer/tablet/etc.
