Wifi 2.4G connection

Just finished building my MBot
uploaded new firmware via USB cable/ Arduino driver installed and wrote a very short program using Mblock/ scratch.
When connected via USB cable the bot reacts correctly and the program works fine.
When I connect with the Wifi and try to run the program (a very basic “when clicked” “run forward”) and click to run the program I get a blue flashing L led led and a clicking/beeping sound that doesn’t stop unless I turn off the bot.
It worked fine once but doesn’t seem to want to work again.
I am using windows 7.0 (but that doesn’t seem to be the issue as I had the same problem with a PC running windows 10)

All sorted… One of the 4 batteries turned out to be dead flat causing all this weird behaviour
