Which Version of mBlock do I need

Hi All, I am sending my grandson my Starter Robot Kit, the tank. He has an older iMac running somewhere between OSX Mountain Lion and El Capitan. If he uses the iMac which version of mBlock should he use, mBlock 3.4.??

He also has access to a Windoze laptop only a few years old, don’t know what version of OS he has on that one. If he uses the Windoze laptop which version of mBlock should he use, mBlock 3.4.??

Any suggestions?

It can be difficult getting off the ground with your first robot when you have no help locally. I want him to have a good starter experience so he doesn’t get frustrated and give up.

I’m on macOS and using mBlock 3.4.11. That’s been relatively stable for me. I’m waiting for mBlock 5 to reach release status before I commit to it.
