Well like many here I did the old plug in the Mblock and erased the firmware that worked out of the box rendering the bot unresponsive. I figured it out and it responds back to the way it came. I am not a programmer by any means and never have worked with any of these programs. I figured the mBlock would bring up the default current program and then you would be able to tweak it.
That being said. How do I go about teaching my son who is in second grade how to program additional functions with out ruining the original program and rendering it useless until I restore the IR Control.ino erasing any changes?
Is there a way that Arduino communicates with the board to bring up what it currently has programmed? That he can change what he wants and leave what he wants without starting from scratch. Maybe I am thinking this all wrong or maybe I should have just bought the mBot that has the one click restore…
Would like to know how you go about it tweaking the program bot? Thoughts tips and advice is so welcomed…
