The Second Makeblock Maker Marathon: Four teams To Build Four Different Arduino Projects

Dear All,

This is Christina from Makeblock here reporting The SecondMakeblock Maker Marathon for you.

I can’t tell how regret I was missed the First Makeblock Maker Marathon last time, but now I am a insider this time. It really exciting that I can join it this time.

Here’s the basic situation about this Maker Marathon.

There’s 20 people attending this workshop and each team have 4-6 members. Each team will have mechanical engineer, electronic engineer, software engineer and beginner. I am in team No.2 as a beginner. At the very beginning, they’re discussing in groups for ideas.

Let’s check the background of each team, here we go:

Team No.1:
Project Name:Magical Music Robot

Team Member:
Jimmy (Leader), Xiaoyu, Yang Zishen, Sara

Use Me Ultrasonic Sensor to test the gesture movements to control a magic ball on the platform. The magic ball will move around, the ultrasonic sensor will detect the position of the wooden hammer and control the wooden hammer to play the music.

(This is Jimmy, the leader of Team No. 1)

Team No. 2 :
Project Name: Mini CNC
Team Member:
@Ouyang_Albert, (Leader), @indream, @Christina, Yunpeng Gao

The left person is our software engineer is @indream and the right engineer is @Ouyang_Albert

The project is using stepper motor control the XYZ plotter drawing pictures. If we use the drill instead of the pen, it will be a PCB machine.

Team No. 3:
Project Name: Ping-pong Fighting Game
Team Member:
@Johnny (Leader), Swolf, @Alice, @Huluwa, Yiwei Wang.

Swolf, Johnny are adjusting their robot.

This team want to build a CNC entertainment game. It will use the back stretch of electromagnet to kick the Ping-pong Ball. Two people use the gaming controllers fighting for fun, just like iceball fighting game.

Team No. 4
:
Project Name: Dancing Humanoid Robot
Team Member:
Little Bear (Leader), @Jessicadu, Martin He, Ziyang Liu, Zijiang Yang.

Little Bear, @Jessicadu and Martin He are focusing on building their project.
They want to build a humanoid dancing robot. Little Bear told me he will program to let the robot dancing with the music until it ends. Can’t wait to see the final project!!! lol!

At the beginning, each team leader need to show their idea and then work in groups.

Team Three Leader @Johnny told everybody their project idea.

Team Four:

Thier leader Little Bear is telling us they can build a dancing robot and it will dance with beat of the music.
