Text plotting

Hi, my XY plotter works okay, but I don’t want outline text. I want to plot just straight text. Anyone a solution?

I’m sorry, but I don’t get any further. I just want to plot simple small straight text (not outline). Is that anyhowe possible?

Yes, definitely. You can just convert your text into SVG file then XY can draw out based on your origirnal file.

Hello, can I use other software then mDraw? For example Dr Engrave for my XY plotter

I have been working on this same issue of trying to get it to do simple text from a svg file to no avail. I have not found a single program or conversion that takes a text file and properly converts it to a svg file.

I am on a mac so my choices are somewhat limited. What does make block suggest for programs?

Google Hershey Text , download it, install it in Inkscape and use it to create your text. Text will be svg which you can use directly in madras for controlling the plotter.
