My starter robot light up and blinks when I press the remote but does nothing.
Starter robot does not work
@Nick, thats strange, we can receive dozens emails everyday, please try one more time, and you can also contact us by: tec-support@makeblock.cc
I cannot send you an email at either address. It just comes back. This is frustrating for me as well as my grandchildren. What I thought would be the beginning of many new creations is just flustering her. Cannot some one call me or reply technically on here or email me a telephone number. Please, Thank You
@Nick_Raffa,
I had the same problem. My Internet provider kept sending back errors. I had to use a web based email service, GMail. If you have an account with Hot Mail, GMail or another service try that or sign up for one.
Also did you put a CR2025 battery in the IR remote? It doesn’t come with one. If you did check to see the battery is inserted correctly.
@Nick, have you installed the Arduino and Makeblock library? please try to upgarde Starter_IR firmware, and then try again, the problem may come from the damage of the internal firmware.
That type of installation is way beyond me. I also did try two sets of batteries in both the remote and robot. I also jumped a motor with a battery and it worked. No where ever when I bought this did it say I would have to do this and install that to make it run. They could not make it harder if they tried to satisfy a customer They should send me a new one with a return label for this other one. I was so looking forward to increasing STEM awareness with my granddaughters. Thank you for your replies, Nick
@Nick_Raffa, normally, its no need to restore the factory setting, I just want to exclude the potential possibility, its easy for you to do so, I will instruct you how to do, could you please add my skype ID or email me, both is Pioneer@makeblock.cc
Hi, I am having the exact same problem. Its only been driving me and my daughter nuts for a day so far.
I have a blue starter robot kit from make block. It dose nt go. Appears to be fine connections checked and swopped around.
I have lights… To wit.
1 x red Led on proximity sensor at front.
1 x red 1 x blue LED on board by USB. (wither USB connected or not)
1 x red LED on IR receiver. (plus a blue LED when I push a button on the remote). So remote is working that far.
I can’t find any schematics of what the power up should look like.
Help please.
