I noticed that whatever port I put, as soon as I make a noise, the robot seems to hear little or nothing
What am I doing wrong?

Yes sure, I’ve git the mbot ranger, the starter kit which includes the sound sensor.
The problem is that if I make noisy the value of strenght does not change but if I put my hand on the body of the robot the strenght go down
