Robotic arm compatible to Mbot (neo)

I wonder weather the “Makeblock Robotic Arm Add-on Pack for Starter Robot Kit-Blue” would work connected to Mbot neo.

  1. Is Mbot capable of getting this arm connected and controlling it?

  2. Is the arm not too heavy and what about the balance? I mean whoud the arm simply overweigh and the whole system falling over?

Hi zstaszewski, I noticed that actually there are three questions, and here are the answers:

  1. weather the “Makeblock Robotic Arm Add-on Pack for Starter Robot Kit-Blue” would work connected to Mbot neo
    ---------No. Latest mBot Neo are using CyberPi as mainboard and mBuild 4pin port as connection port. The robot arm in the screenshot is RJ25, they are not compatible.

  2. Is Mbot capable of getting this arm connected and controlling it?
    ---------No.This is designed for Starter Robot Kit, not for mBot.

  3. Is the arm not too heavy and what about the balance? I mean whoud the arm simply overweigh and the whole system falling over?
    ---------As it’s designed for Starter Robot Kit, it’s OK to mount on it. But for other kit, such as mBot, the base is not heavy enough to provide stability
