Robot starter kit and arm kit

Have the robot starter kit IR version. Bought the arm kit add on, how do you control this with the IR controller.
Do you have to download a program update onto you microcontroller.

Not having purchased the robotic arm kit, I can only say that you will likely have to write a program. I’m not sure whether or not it comes with a program that can be uploaded out of the box.

To work with the IR remote controller, there is no existed example program, you can program yourself with mBlock software.

For the starter robot arm, you can upgrade firmware for the Starter and the connect to the mobile App (makeblock App) with Bluetooth, then choose the project Ultimate-blue and you can control the ARM through the mobile App
