Robot only makes one short move when continuous press of keys

Hi!

I’m facing a strange issue with my starter robot kit when trying IR Control example. It worked OK until today, but now it only works properly when the USB cable is on. If I remove the USB cable leaving the robot “free”, the robot doesn’t react to continuous press of keys.If, for instance, I press “Up” key and keep it pressed, the robot only makes a short move forward (with the USB cable on, the robot keeps moving forward until the key is not pressed anymore).

Could anybody help me?

I had the same issue and the problem is due to low-battery. The robot seems to be very sensetive to low current. Try changeing your batteries or getting an alternative powersupply.
