Remote not working with robot

I am a beginner builder using the Makeblock starter robot kit IR version, Assembled robot with proper connections. REMOTE NOT WORKING WITH ROBOT.1/11/16

Do you know the remote is working? Have to looked at the light on the front (through a digital camera) to confirm you see it lights up when buttons pressed.
