Raspberry Pi 4B connect to Mbot Ranger

#1

Hi everyone.

I own a mBot Ranger and an robot arm addon pack, just wondering if it is possible that I can connect a Pi 4B to the Ranger’s board using the USB cable?

What I want is to use Pi to control the robot Arm through Ranger, I also plan for a project to use a Pi camera (computer vision) to drive and grab using the robit arm. It would be challenging but interesting.

Want to know if it is feasible through Ranger, appreciate if anyone can share their experience. If this isn’t supported at all, I might as well buy a Mega kit, that should be more feasible I guess.

Thanks a lot

Hi mineown,

I am afraid that ranger doesn’t support the Raspberry pi directly, we don’t have any instruction for such application.
Let’s see if any other advanced user has similar project experience can sharing.

Thanks for the update. I assume that mbot Mega would better suit for my requirement, right?

I want to use Pi to drive Mega and also control the arm, that should work based on Mega’s Pi support, correct?

Thanks
