Ranger with the extension collection

Hello,

Working with a couple of schools, I bought Ranger for testing. I have added the mbot Ranger extension collection. Being new to the product, I have noticed the following:

  1. Upon adding the extension, lots of the added blocks speak about “shutter, stepper motor, temperature sensor, etc”. I have noticed some of those sensors are built-in. What about the others? Are they specific for mbot? How can I get information about what can be connected/used with Ranger?
  2. I do not understand some block’s function. What does the “gyroscope outward” block do versus “gyro onboard”? Any documentation for those blocks?

I found the link related to mbot sensors.

However, some of the new blocks such as the “gyroscope outward” block, is not explained. Not sure what it does?
