Radioshack Starter Kit Ultrasonic Sensor Yield 0cm Always

I’ve read just about every thread in this forum regarding this topic and the ultrasonic sensor always returns 0. I’ve tried to get it working in mBlock_v3.1 as well as Arduino IDE running the sample code at http://wiki.makeblock.cc/index.php?title=Me_Ultrasonic_Sensor_V2.0 and neither yielded anything other than 0.

I’ve tried the following to no avail:

  1. reseating the RJ25 connectors
  2. changing port from 3 to other supported ports
  3. removed line follower on port 2
  4. Reset Default Program

I read others say the RadioShack version was recalled at some point. Should I just return it to RadioShack and order one off of makeblock’s website?

BTW, when you use variables and are using the tethered mode you can see the values in real time on the stage.

My sensor is also defective. It does not work. I know this because I bought a new one at Radio Shack and that works. I also
Have an Mbot and that ultrasonic sensor does work.
