Problem with MBlock and MacOS Yosemite

Hey everybody:
I am I bit new with this cool toys from Makeblock. I already code arduino and RasPi, I am planning to use this robots to develop robotics classes. I am currently working with MacOSX Yosemite. I have no problems whenever I am coding with Arduino IDE, but sometimes when I am in the MakerBlock IDE (v3.4.5), I connect my orion with the normal serial port, but the values in the IDE doesn’t change at all.
For example: If I want to display with the panda the x y position of the Me Joystick, the position never changes; however, I know that the Orion is sending data because Tx LED is blinking so I am afraid that this problem is from the IDE.
I don’t know if any of you have faced this problem before.
I will appreciate any advice you could bring me.

Hi Martin,

When you do online program test, you need upgrade firmware for the main board first.
Please refer to this document to upgrade firmware for Orion board.4. How to upgrade firmware for Orion Board.docx.zip (439.0 KB)
Please test your online program after upgrade firmware.

Hey thanks for the reply!
the first thing i did was to upgrade the firmware, and no there still the same results!
I am using a virtual machine with windows, and works fine but I really want to work with MacOS environment…
I am open to any advice or suggestion

Hi JMOG_94,

Could you please send your program, then we will do a test.
If it is possible, please kindly take a video to show your steps include upgrading firmware, testing the program and the display from the panda?

Besides,please make sure all the other Arduino software are closed while you test the robot with mBlock software.
