When I unplug the usb cord from mac it starts beeping and the remote control does not work. Another problem is we can not connect the mbot to the mac via bluetooth.
Problem connecting to Bluetooth & constant beeping
Uploading script removes all factory settings so remote does not work anymore.
What issues were you having with the bluetooth? I had no issue connecting mine to bluetooth on windows 10.
When I click “Pair” to try to connect the mBot to the Mac it works for a second then something pops up and disappears to fast so I cannot read it. Then after that it is says “Not Connected”.
I have just the same problem with a Mac and bluetooth.
The number that is in the box that pops up and disappears changes each time, sometimes 4, often six figures.
Same problem here. Using a Mac, Under Preferences–Bluetooth, the Mac sees the mBot bluetooth module, but when you attempt to pair, a number pops up for a split second, and it fails to pair.
i fixed this with this link http://forum.makeblock.cc/t/bluetooth-connectivity-on-mac-not-working/1464 and upgrading to the latest iOS.
The mBot still doesn’t appear in the list of bluetooth connected items, but if you go to connect at the top / serial port/ then there is one labelled ELETSPP that is it. When the blue light on the Bluetooth board goes solid blue its connected.
Very un-apple like, but got there.
Thanks for the advice. I have tried what you said, but it doesn’t work.
The Bluetooth does work using the IPad App if you restore the default program, so I don’t think it’s a hardware issue with the Bluetooth module.
I paired it under Preferences( the blue light still blinks), then selected /dev/tty.Makeblock-ELETSPP under connect, which made the blue light on the Bluetooth module go solid, but it still did not work.
Yes. There seems to be major issues with the Mac version of the software. Most of the complaints seems to be from Mac users like myself. All of the demo videos are of the PC version.
