Older macbook running on 10.6.8/yosemite. HELP:(

Does anyone know if these work with the older white macbooks? they are on 10.6.8 however I could upgrade to yosemite if need be. The catch is, they don’t have bluetooth. Am I right by saying. If you have a macbook then you have to buy the bluetooth version. I’d rather not do that in a classroom setting with multiple devices running. AND…
SO, in summary, I want to use these in my classroom but I have the older white macbooks that do not have bluetooth. Is this possible?

I’ve used mBlock with OS X 10.6.8 and WiFi. No experience with Bluetooth. The WiFi module binds to a single mBot (similar to a 2.4GHz mouse to a single nano receiver) so no conflicts on that front.
