No power using AA's

I put my mbot together today, but cannot get it to power up using AA batteries. Is there a switch I’m missing? I assumed it would power on when I plugged the battery pack in and I don’t see anything else that looks like it would be an “on” switch.

Yes, be sure to turn on the black switch, on the right edge of the circuit board (as you look from the front of the mbot), right behind the two white jacks for the two motors.
