I have recently purchased a Mbot ranger and built the model successfully. I can’t get the robot to connect via bluetooth standalone. If I plug in the USB cable the robot powers up and I can control the LED lights via mBlock program. With the USB cable plugged in I can then connect my iPad via Bluetooth to the robot! I can then make it flash its lights and play a song. I can’t get it to move at all, either via the program on my MacBook or via bluetooth on my iPad. I have put 6 new batteries in the battery holder, which seems to make no difference. When I turn on the robot with no USB cable, I can see a couple of red lights on in the centre of the LED ring, a green light near port 1 and a red light near the bluetooth module, all lights are flickering slightly and there is a slight ticking noise coming from the Me Auriga, if that’s what it is called. Can anyone help me get this little robot working?
