My MeWifi module not working

I have a problem with MeWifi module which is not connecting to my router I don’t know why because I’ve followed all the instruction in the User Guide step by step but it’s not excepting to connect to the network and I’ve tried with many routers but still not connecting :confused:
I’ve also tried to connecting it to mobile hotspot but still not connecting and the mobile shows that the module is connecting and disconnecting at the same time.
Also the Module is shown in a hidden network when I want to connect to it through any laptop.

is there any way to reprogram the module with AT command or anything else? and is there a way to make a back-up for the programming if something went wrong ?

Hi Karam,

The Me wifi module doesn’t have AT command function.
You mentioned the module is shown in hidden network, do you mean you can’t find its SSID? If yes, please try factory default reset it refer to this document.How to reset me wifi module to default settings.zip (11.1 KB)

After above, the SSID will appear as ESP_XXX again, please connect to it and reconfigure the Me wifi module have a try.
Please keep the wifi mode as Both and join to your router wifi have a check. Here I tried the join and it connects successfully.

Hi karam,

Actually I have replied you last Friday but not sure why the reply didn’t take effect.Sorry for the trouble caused.
From the video, it looks like you can see the wifi SSID from the Me wifi module after reset it.
Please check and try following points for connecting the module to router wifi:

  1. In the Serial Setup page, please keep the Baudrate as 9600.

  2. In the Join Setup page, double check if you have typed in exactly the same wifi user name and wifi password of your router. It is suggested to type in them one by one instead of just selecting them.

  3. After it says config accepted, if there is no IP address get from your router, you can refresh the page after a while and check if it can get the IP address.

As for the deleting one of your reply, it was a wrong operation.
We had a wrong reply on this post and supposed to delete it, didn’t notice that delete one of your reply too. Sorry for the wrong operation and now it is recovered.

Hi Karam,

What do you mean it still showing in a hidden network? You cannot see its SSID? From the video, it looks like you select the SSID and connect to it.
Could you please take a screenshot for it as it is difficult to see everything clearly.

Ok , no problem.
The video shows that is still showing in a hidden network please check it again and also still have the the old settings that I’ve made before.
And it’s still not connecting to the Router.
Please check it again.
I need a solution.

Hi Karam,

What do you mean about the Hidden network? Do you mean you can’t see the model’s SSID? From the video, it looks like you can see and select it.
You may take a clear picture to show it since it is difficult to see everything clearly in this video.
