My mBot doesnt respond to the 2.4G connection

#1

I have tried connecting it to the USB and upgrading the firmware,i tried all. But it shows a signal of connection on the 2.4G board since when i insert the white 2.4G dongle into my laptop it starts blinking really fast, but when i unplug it,it doesnt even blink. And then if i put the USB cable its just lightning and not blinking.

My code is starting with when green flag clicked,is that a mistake or something?

Hi, NotoriouZ,

Thanks for leaving us a message!

I: Upgrade firmware for mBot. 1. How to Upgrade Firmware for mBot.docx.zip (690.6 KB)

II: Remove the USB cable, plug the Wi-Fi dongle into your computer, the light on the mBot’s Wi-Fi module will stop blinking and be on. Go to the Connect - 2.4G Serial – Connect (Check that the check mark stays on, if there is no check mark after you clicked on ‘Connect’, that means the 2.4G is still disconnected. In this case, please restart the mBlock software have a try).
III: With the 2.4G connection on, you will now find that you can run the mBot “on-line”. That is, starting the command sequence with a choice from the Events category of commands: “When green flag clicked”, “When SPACE key pressed”, etc.
In order that you can understand all the steps better, here is a video to show the whole steps, please view in this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kiO8VYpIGsw

Please let me know if the above instruction works for you!

Best,

XW

Hello,thank you for your reply.

When i plug in the 2.4G dongle the light starts blinking very fast, its not technically not lightning yet its blinking super fast. And i watched the video before and i still have the same problem. Could it be problem in the batteries,or should i remove the Wi-Fi password?

Thanks in advance.

The batteries were the problem, the ones i bought were too weak so it could not power up the both at the same time. Thank you very much for your help.
