My avatar-icon keeps failing to upload?

My avatar is now a “broken image” sign… it shows up when I upload it to my user profile, but the moment I go back to home it is broken again

it may be the forum’s bug, could you upload your avatar photo on this post?i try it

Hi Zephod,

here’s how I finally uploaded my avatar:

  1. prepare a square jpg foto, I used 120x120 pixel and stored it as web-optimized indexed jpg. I am not sure if this was really necessary, but worked for me.
  2. on this forum, choose your current avatar picture (top right corner) => Preferences
  3. click the Pen (edit) button beside your current avatar picture
  4. choose Gravatar, based on … your mail address
  5. press the Pen (edit) button to change your avatar on the Gravatar’s website.
  6. create an account there, upload your JPG foto(s)
  7. finally save your avatar changes on this forum website.

Note - the other, simpler option to directly upload a file did not work for me.
