Modify arm with electromagnet

We have the Mega and Arm add-on. We would like to modify the arm to replace the claw with an electromagnet.

Could we repurpose the connection that opens/closes the claw to power on/off the electromagnet?

Any tips on how to accomplish this?

You could make an electromagnet and attach it to the positive and negative sensor wires…
