Me-Stepper-Driver directly into Arduino

#1

We’re wanting to use Me-Stepper-Driver to run a single Bipolar Stepper Motor but we do not want to use the BaseBoard at all. So this would mean that we have to know what pins of Me-Stepper-Driver have to be connected to Arduino directly and which ones have to be powered externally since it’s using an RJ25 cable.

Any kind of help would be really appreciated.

Hi, AsadMoeen.
The schematic of ME-Stepper-Driver indicates Pin 3 is V-M, Pin 4: GND, Pin 5: Dir(Control Signal), Pin 6: Step(Control Signal)

Thank you, I see it now.

But an important question is, the GND and V-M come from an external battery source right, what would be the voltage and current rating?

Also, what’s the order of the pins, let’s say when we’re holding the clipped side of the connector on top?

The specification of your Stepper board is as below.
Specification
Max current: ±1.35A
Max Motor Drive Voltage: 12V
Rated voltage: 5V

For the pin map of RJ25, please refer to following link and if you are not sure, please check with your meter before you energize power to system.

The adapter for the baseshield, used to run both the motors was rated at 12V and 2000mA. Would that be too much to run a single motor?

And I guess you forgot to put the link @Intaek_Jo
