Hi, I bought my son an MBot but after constructing it, it always misses the line when its suppose to turn to the right. My son being very observant noticed that the sensitivity of the left and the right sensors are different. The right sensor can easily detect the white (LED turns on) and black line (LED turns off) but the left sensor is not as sensitive as the other one. By experimenting using a piece of white paper I noticed that the left sensor does react to it but only in certain distance(about 5-8mm). So, with its current distance from the ground(about12mm) it doesn’t react at all except on some random positions.(very rare). Is there a possibility of tweaking the sensitivity of the left sensor so it will be reading correctly?
ME Line follower sensors seems to have different sensitivities

I heard that the shiny paper that the mBot comes with isn’t ideal and a more matte paper with a black line works better. Infact I used my mindstorms v1 sheet and it works great. I’ve also had the kids make their own with markers and that seems to work better as long as the path isn’t too thin and it is filled in completely.

Makeblock updated the line last month i supposed, when did you get this mBot? There are some negative feedback about previous line follower. However it doesn’t lie in sensor, it lies on the lines.
Thanks
