Me color sensor not working well

Hi

While testing the me color sensor on different colors separately is working well and only takes like half a second to detect the color.but my problem is when changing from color to color it takes more than 4 sec to detect it.ex:when my mbot moves on a black surface it doesn’t have time to stop on a white spot it just skips it without detection.
