mBot ultrasonic sensor FOV

Hi,

I cannot find any details about FOV (Field of View) of the ultrasonic sensor included in the mBot kit.

The only information i found is:
“Detecting range: 3cm~4m, best in 30-degree angle”

Not sure what they meant by the statement “best in 30-degree angle”.

I would like to know the exact FOV value.

Well, what do you expect? It’s a cone of sound, not a laser beam.

Just comparing mBot ultrasonic sensor with HC-SR04 and PING (Parallax).

I am also testing Time-of-Flight sensor at the moment.

I see the difference. I do not expect miracles. Simply want to know official technical details.

30 degrees is the biggest ultrasonic transfer angle, a parameter with which we can know the shortest distance it can detects.
