Mbot ranger motors are very weak

We recently bought a mbot ranger (bday present) and built it as the landraider (Tank tracks).

However the motors are incredibly weak and not a able to turn the tracks.
If the caterpillar tracks are removed the wheels turn, but the mbot still moves very slowly (I can easily stop the wheels when turning just by holding them).

We’ve used multiple sets of batteries (Duracell, rechargeable) but the results are the same.

All the other features work (light, sound … Etc) but the motors seem either damaged or defective.

Any possible options I could try?
Would be a shame to return it after we’ve built it

mBot is high power request,if you want to it runs faster,you can connect with mBlock 5 to change the power to 100%
