Hi I am new to MakeBlock. I brought a mBot Ranger for my Grandson. Before I load up any of my scratch or arduino sketches can anyone tell me the exact firmware name and location for the current ranger code as I will always want to go back to the factory code.
best regards and thanks

Here is the Makeblock software download link
You can download mBlock 3 for PC:
There are some guidance for using mBlock software.
To reset it, select reset default program under connect:

Still got some questions
I program arduino unos for fun and when I upload the new software it overwrites what ever is on the arduino and you effectively loose the code that was previously on the arduino
I want to start programming the Mbot Ranger however I do not want to wipe out the code loaded on the arduino in the factory.
I did notice that I can connect to the mBot by Bluetooth and run scratch programs without wiping out the original software.
So can you explain discuss the following
Are there two location in which programs can be uploaded (Mbot Ranger code and temporary code that is run from Bluetooth
Can I wipe out the original code (on purpose or by mistake)
if I do what is the name, version and location firmware that runs on the mbot Ranger so that it can be reloaded.
I am not sure if I understand you exactly.
To use the Ranger, we can choose the original firmware or use our own program. Once we upload a customized program to the main board, surely it will wipe out the original firmware and only the uploaded program works.
To control it with mobile app, we need to reset it to original firmware with mBlock software.
