Mbot - on-board sound sensor, works on my laptop/not on students systems

hi makeblock group and hello chuck!
so, i use the basic script to show the real time loudness/sound sensor value, (‘say’ ‘forever loop’ command, and all works fine… but then i take the same mbot, same cable, and login to the students system, even as me, i can connect via serial com port, got the green dot, all good…but the volume/sound sensor doesn’t work, any possible ideas.

Same version of operating system and mBlock too, I presume?

ya, same mblock, same windows… but these are student systems, so i dont know if theres some usb issue… works on my laptop at school, and my machine at home.

You might check with the admins. Windows has had such a long history of malware, etc., that they may have somehow blocked something.

I know that it’s possible to block serial ports and network ports, but I’m not sure what’s exactly going on there. :frowning:
