Mbot makes constant clicking sound when turned on

TUrned on mBot after about a month of not using it - lights up, but then starts to make a constant little clicking sound from the buzzer - this persists after hitting the ‘reset’ button on the board.

mBlock shows as connected to the mBot, but none of my commands are working – bot just keeps clicking away while my son loses interest… :frowning:
Anyone seen this?

replace the batteries.

@kennyc, what you feedback sounds strange, please try to upgrade the firmware and check again.
