Mbot extension not present

I have a new mbot, and am trying to follow tutorial. I have downloaded latest mblock v3.4.5. i have connect the mbot via usb and updated the firmware, and then connected via the 2.4 g wireless dongle. I can select mbot(mcore) in the boards menu. but the mbot extension is not showing. when i use the extension manager i can see an mbot extension, but it is not added. when i try to add it i can navigate to the mbot folder, but there is no.json file. what do i need to do to get the mbot extension showing in the extension menu?

Hi the program block under mBot is the mBot extension.
Under Board, choose the mBot (mCore), you can see the program blocks:
