Mbot Bluetooth module burned out

Hello,

I got last week my Mbot all works fine (with remote control) until I use the mblock program like you show in the “getting started” video.
After upgrading the mbot firmware the remote control don’t work anymore.
BUT
the biggest problem is that I was only really short able to control the bot by my keyboard over bluetooth (second tutorial video) but after a few minutes the modul get hot a start to smell!!!
Now the module LED is permanently on without any connection and get warm again.
I think it burned out…
Than the new firmware which comes with the mblock software don’t support the remote control like with the firmware you send the bot out…
At the end of the day I can’t use the mbot only over wire at the moment.

Please advise what happens with the module or send me a replacement ( I am sure there goes something wrong during production) and please send me a link to the old firmware that I am abvle to control the bot with the remote control again.

Just read on the Kickstarter page inside the comments that this happens at last two times!!!

This might only be a small relief for you (since I can’t say anything on the bluetooth module) and it will only restore the ABC-controls of the remote.
I use the mBot FAQ and some twisting, to get back some of the original functionality. Please see my other post

yes read it too but the download failed 5 times than i must enter a 4 letter chinese code from a picture (anti spam). No chance…
Do you have a possibillity to upload the .ino to dropbox or somewhere else or send it by mail?

Please refer to the other post, since there are now at least two options for re-creating the factory settings.
I didn’t try the second one, since I was successful in downloading the big file. :smile:
