mBot Bluetooth connection via Mac OS X El Capitan

#1

Hi all,
I am able to “connect” to the mBot with my mac using both the bluetooth connection (connect->serial port->/dev/tty.Makeblock-ELETSPP) and/or the direct USB connection (connect->serial port->/dev/tty.Makeblock-wchusbseriel1410).

However, i can only control the mBot through the mBlock software when connected via the USB cable. Any idea why this might be? When I connect via bluetooth, the bluetooth chip is lit solid blue, and the mBlock software indicates there’s a connection to the mBot since there is a green connection button when the “robot” scripts are selected. Even when this is the case, we can’t control the mBot with the mBlock software. But we can once we connect the USB (and leave the connection through make block-ELETSPP)

I’ve updated the mCore firmware. Any other ideas as to what might be needed?

Thanks

I’ve found that I also need to reset the default program at times, so try that to see if it clears things up. Also, you might post a screenshot of the code to show what you’re doing. :slightly_smiling:

You can also drop an email to @Pioneer at support@mblock.cc.
