Hello, I am getting a Java error whenever I try to compile with the mBlock 3 online IDE. I can’t seem to copy the content of the error message and a screenshot will only show a bit, but it is the “Can’t connect to X11 window server using ‘:1.0’ as the value of the DISPLAY variable” error that at least one other person on the forum has encountered. I have been having a lot of other trouble with the IDE, but this error is new as of a few days ago. Last week, while I can’t say it worked fine, I could at least begin the compile process. I have tried on my Windows 10-based laptop as well as a Chromebook with the same result. I have updated Java on the Windows machine and mLink is installed.
I know there is the new mBlock 5 IDE, but I am trying to interface with Arduino Nano-based Otto DIY bots through USB, which only the mBlock 3 IDE supports, so far as I am aware. I also have the mBlock 3 Windows IDE installed on the Windows laptop and it works fine, but I have Chromebooks I am trying to get work with them as well, thus why I am trying to work with the older online IDE. That has been a chore, but that’s another topic for another day. Currently the Java error is keeping me from getting any further.
Is there anything I can do about this error? If any further information would be helpful, I will be glad to provide it. The error includes a message to “provide the following log” but I do not know of any easy way to do so. If the log is saved somewhere on the computer, I will provide it if anyone can point me to its location.
Thank you!
