mBlock 5 Connect button doesn't work

#1

Dear forum members…

Lately I have noticed an issue with my mBlock 5 v.5.2.0…is desktop version on windows 10.
Program was working fine in everything aspect, however, It stopped working fine.

Connect button doesn’t open the popup where is showed the COM port and final connect for neither device (mbot, Codey, Ranger, Ultimate, Arduino, etc.)

Online version and mLink works very well.

Has anyone experienced this problem?

Thanks in advanced for information that you can guide me.

Hi, I have this problem with the Arduino.

Try clicking on Show all connectable devices and select the port it will display. Me, it works.
connect

Thanks for reply…

That’s precisely the issue.
The window that have the connection choice USB, bluetooth and 2.4G does’n appear.
The blue button “Connect” in the mblock GUI, just below of Upload/Live switch, does not open this last connect window.

Hi,
To this issue, please double check if the CH340 driver installed succeed.
Here is the guidance for you, hope it will work to you.

Thanks.

Hi…thanks for replay

The driver CH340 is installed succeed…when I connect some devices (mCore or generic Arduino board) the device manager shows the ports(COM & LPT) USB-SERIAL CH340(COM “X”) correctly…and works fine with https://ide.mblock.cc/ and mLink.
It is the mBlock desktop, in which the button connect located in devices area doesn’t respond.

I had unistall and reinstall the program in different path, cleaning all associated folders, registry entries and temp files.
It is worth mentioning that I use mblock 3 too, and it works fine, no connection issues and programs upload pretty well, so, there are not CH340 driver issues.
