Makeblock Orion not working with Mac OSX El Capitan

So I downloaded and installed the CH34x driver to control the Orion but it doesn’t detect it when I plug the USB cable. I tried to do as in Yosemite (command sudo nvram boot-args=“kext-dev-mode=1”) but it doesn’t work in El Capitan.

I can’t do anything useful with my tank robot :frowning: and It is very frustrating that there’s no official response or help to this!

So, your computer doesn’t pick up anything? Do you get any windows at all?

When I’m using the Arduino IDE and I plug the Starter Robot via USB nothing happens, the computer (Mac OS X 10.11.2 - El Capitan) doesn’t detect it. If I go to menu Tools > Port doesn’t appear in the port list.

I tried in a Windows 7 laptop and it works, so the problem is with the lastest Mac OS and the CH34x driver.

What should I do?

Try installing the driver mentioned towards the bottom of this thread. It worked for me on El Capitan. :smile:
