Makeblock laserbox doesnt detect purple cut lines on files

I have a makeblock laserbox which has been working well but has recently had some issues. I have existing files purchased on the web, however when I go to cut them, the purple line isn’t detected. There are no loose cables.

I am a bit stumped as what do to next. I have tried:

  • Re-seating the connectors on the z-motor
  • cleaned the lenses
  • cleaned the nozzle.
